Yangon - Putao - Myitkyina - Bhamo - Katha - Kyaung Myaung - Mandalay - Yangon

Day 01 Arrival Yangon

Upon arrival at Yangon airport you will be welcomed by our asian window tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Your Myanmar journey begins with an afternoon tour through Yangon‘s colonial-style city center. Visit Sule Pagoda, dating back over 2,000 years ago; and shopping for BOGYOKE (SCOOTS) MARKET with hundreds of stores (closed on Mondays) and gems shops .The magnificent reclining Buddha Chauk Htat Gyi. Complete your first day in Myanmar with a visit to one of the world’s most spectular monuments, the Shwedagon Pagoda. Overnight in Yangon.

 

Day 02 Yangon - Putao (By Flight)

After breakfast at the hotel and transferred to the airport for flight to Putao. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. Sightseeing to downtown include a visit to Pan-Hlying and H0-Ko. Overnight in Putao.





 

Day 03 Putao - Machanbaw - Mularshidi - Putao

Visit to central market and drive to Machanbaw town (20km, 2 hours drive) to observe ways sof life of hill tribe people; Hkanti Shan, Jingpaw, Rawan and Lisu. Back to Putao and overnight in Putao.





 

Day 04 Putao - Myitkyina (By Flight)

After breakfast at the hotel and transferred to the airport for the flight to Myitkyina. Arrive to Myitkyina airport, transfer to your hotel. After lunch, take a sightseeing tour around Myitkyina, the capital of Kachin State, on a trishaw (bicycle taxi). Overnight in Myitkyina.




 

Day 05 Myitkyina - Waine Maw - Myitson - Myitkyina

After breakfast at the hotel, drive over a bridge spanning the Ayeyarwaddy River to visit a small town named ‘Waine Maw’. Visit the local cottage industry work shops including blacksmiths, and a small rural market. Kachin tribes that inhabit here are still largely animist and still intact with their old customs. Proceed to Myitson, the conflucnce of Maikha & Malikha crossing through Lisu and Kachin. And then return back to Myitkyina. Overnight in Myitkyina.


 

Day 06 Myitkyina - Bhamo

After breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bhamo (186km, 8 hours drive from Myitkyina). On the way enjoy the scenic and picturesque Views. Overnight in Bhamo.






 

Day 07 Bhamo

VIST central market, Theindawgyi Pagoda, Shw eKyi Nar Pagoda, hot spring and around the villages. Overnight in Bhamo.
 

Day 08 Bhamo - Katha (By Boat)

After breakfast, visit the colourful local market where Lisu, Kachin and Shan people meet to trade. Transfer to bustling jetty to board a local, wooden boat, for the cruise to Mandalay. See the Second Defile, stopping for a while at Sin Khan Village to see the elephants at their work and making teak logs raft in the timber extracting camp. Visit Sinkan, a lovely village and important transit point for teak during the British colonial area. Take a walk past the old teak monastery and some old temple ruins overgrown by grass, moss and trees. After sightseeing, the boat sails down to reach Katha about 96 km in sistance. Arrive in the evening, vishit Myadaung Pagoda and walk around the town. If the road conditions and the time permit, visit elephant logging camp outside the town. Overnight in Katha.
 

Day 09 Katha - Tagaung - Kyauk Myaung (By Boat)

Early morning boat cruise down to cover about 180 km Journey to Kyaung Myaung, stopping a while at Htigyaing to climb up pagoda hill to see the panoramic view. Then proceed to Tagaung, an ancient city
0f Myanmar still remaining amongs the ruins of the old fortification. The scenery is beautiful, the river through wider and the hills not as dramatic. The boat sails down to Tha-beik-kyin. Cruise downstream and arrive at Kyauk Myaung in the evening. Overnight in Kyauk Myaung.

Day 10 Kyauk Myaung - Mandalay (By Boat)

Morning, sightseeing tour to walk around the town. After sightseeing in Kyauk Myaung, sails to Mandalay via Mingun village and Mingun Bell the largest ringing in the world, the unfinished pagoda and Settawya Pagoda. In the evening, arrive to Mandalay and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Mandalay.



 

Day-11 Mandalay sightseeing

Morning excursion to ancient capital Amarapura, 11km sourth of Mandalay. Tour highlights include Mahagandayon Monastery (Buddhist University), 1.2 km long U Bein Wooden Bridge and silk weaving industry and the venerable Mahamuni Pagoda. Afternoon visit Mandalay Royal Palace, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings, Atumashi (incomparable) Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the world's biggest book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures, and Mandalay Hill, advantage point for panoramic view of the city. Overnight in Mandalay.
 

Day-12 Mandalay - Yangon

After breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to the airport for the flight back to Yangon. Arrive to Yangon sightseeing to Gem Museum, Chaukhtkyi reclining Buddha and shopping for Bogyoke Aung San Market. Overnight in Yangon.




 

Day13 Yangon Departure

After morning breakfast at Hotel, transfer to Airport for the international flight from Myanmar, if the departure flight is in morning. If the departure flight is in evening, have leisure at hotel till before the time.
